Scenes from Istanbul

Our days in Istanbul were few, but full of movement. Though my highlights from Istanbul were big things like our cruise on the Bosphorous and a visit inside the Blue Mosque, some of the most enjoyable moments were spent walking the streets and immersing ourselves in Istanbul street life. Every city I’ve visited feels different on the street – the people, the traffic patterns, the smells, the manners….

These photos captured some of the spirit of the city, one which proved a great introduction to a country we were only beginning to learn just as we left.
