Looking back at the 2012 fall, we had a really beautiful leaf season. Though it was cut short by Hurricane Sandy, there were still a few weeks in October where leaves were bright red, vibrant yellow and various shades of orange and fire. It was a perfect time to strap back on our hiking shoes and head up to Bear Mountain in the Hudson Valley for some Appalachain Trail action.
This waterfall sits along a heavily trafficked part of the trail just above the Bear Mountain Lodge. It was a calming place to sit toward the end of our hike as the sun was going down.
