Leave it to me to think it’s a good idea to visit Iceland in the winter.
Honestly though, it really was a good idea. Empty roads, lower prices, misty eerie landscapes. Like this one. It was an other-worldly experience slicing through the thick southern Iceland mist in our rental Subaru. Nearly out of nowhere, mountains would appear all around us as a suggestion of what was hidden on the other side of the wispy winter curtain.

August 19, 2015 at 10:49 amthank you! i try to live a life filled with things I care about. And it’s not as hard as it seems – it can be big things and little things that you love. All of it matters.
In terms of Iceland – it was much warmer in Iceland than it was in New York City last winter! I guess it really depends on where you are from if you will find it cold, but I thought it wasn’t too bad.
