Local Spotlight: Vezir Cave Suites in Cappadocia

Staying in a cave hotel is part of the Cappadocia experience, and Vezir Cave Suites is a comfortable centrally located option.

Cappadocia’s network of caves and rock churches, pigeon homes, and labyrinthine under ground villages are partly what makes it so unique and popular as a travel destination.  Centuries of people have used these caves as homes and hideouts, so it is a natural progression that they would be the perfect place to build hotels.

Vezir Cave Suites is a family run hotel with a perfect location in Goreme – it’s just up the hill from the main road, a 20 minute walk to the Goreme Open Air Museum, and a few minutes from the town’s farmer’s market. The cave rooms are comfortable, the courtyard is charming, the views across the town are beautiful (especially at night), and the breakfast is DELICIOUS. Staying a modernized cave at Vezir was a unique experience and will stand out as one of the most interesting hotels I’ve stayed in.
